R.I.P., Stanley Kamel

Early this morning, I checked my e-mail before going to work and saw on the news wires that Stanley Kamel had died. Kamel, 65, died April 8 at his home in California of a heart attack. Most recently, he is perhaps best known for his role as Dr. Charles Kroger on the brilliant comedy-drama Monk. His character, a psychiatrist, tries to help obsessive-compulsive detective Adrian Monk work through his laundry list of issues and phobias. Mr. Kamel will be sorely missed. Out of respect for Mr. Kamel's memory, I will not be posting any humorous entries to this blog for the next few days.

I am very curious as to how the show’s writers will treat this. Will his passing be written into the script? Only time will tell...
