No, I’m not talking about the brilliant Alfred Hitchcock classic film about homicidal birds. Instead, I’m talking about the very warmly encouraging sign that spring is here in Michigan. I’vebeen hearing much distinct chirping in the trees and air lately, and it’s the kind of chirping you hear from mourning doves and red-winged blackbirds.
Considering just how daunting our propane bills have been this winter and how poorly insulated our rented mobile home is, the chirping of these birds is very welcome news. All I need now are to hear the quacking of ducks and I’ll be completely happy.
